Sunday Seven - Christmas Events in Tucson

Every city and town across the country has unique events to see during the holidays. Some are known even outside the locale. For this week’s Sunday Seven I thought I would post a few of the events here in Tucson that we all seem to gravitate towards.

Winterhaven Festival of Lights – an entire community in the center of the city where each home is decked out in Christmas lights.

Reid Park Zoo Lights – our local zoo all dressed up!

A Southwest Nutcracker – our city’s unique twist on a classic ballet.

The 4th Avenue Winter Street Fair – this Street Fair happens twice a year and our local artisans are amazing!

Holiday Nights at Tohono Chul Park – one of our quaint desert parks on the Northwest side of town dresses up in lights and has different performing groups come in. Food and adult beverages are also a plus.

Enchanted Snowfall – our outdoor mall hosts this event each year. In the courtyard they create ‘snow’ and the kids just love it. Then there are plenty of choices afterwards for the adults to have dinner and a drink while the kids recount the events!

And of course…SANTA! Not unique, but not to be missed either!
